A research concept for households

Helpful context starts with permission.

Family Agents is a concept-validation project exploring consent-first coordination for bilingual households. It is not a currently available product.

THE PROBLEM

Plans, reminders and important context are scattered across people, chats and calendars, often with no shared view.

THE RESOLUTION

Research whether a consent-first family assistant could make everyday coordination clearer without becoming invasive.

Cornerstone is researching needs and boundaries; no household agent product is currently offered.

WHAT WE ARE TESTING

Coordination without surveillance.

01

Shared routines

Explore how recurring responsibilities could stay visible without repeated prompting.

02

Ask-first sharing

Treat permission and audience as part of every shared item.

03

Bilingual clarity

Research whether household context can remain understandable across preferred languages.

04

Human handoff

Keep decisions, exceptions and sensitive conversations with people.

RESEARCH PATH

  1. 01

    Listen

Learn which coordination moments create repeated friction.

  2. 02

    Set boundaries

Define who can add, see, change and remove shared context.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Test a non-production sample with fictional household information.

  4. 04

    Decide

Use research feedback to continue, narrow or stop the concept.

CONSENT BOUNDARY

A helpful concept can still be the wrong concept.

RESEARCH NOTES

What joining means—and what it does not.

Can I use Family Agents now?

No. Cornerstone is validating the problem, boundaries and language through research only.

Does the research collect family data?

The landing should request only minimal contact and research context; prototypes should use fictional information.

Is this designed for children?

No child-facing product is being offered. Any future age-related design would require separate research, consent and safeguards.

What does joining mean?

It records interest in optional future research. It is not product access, acceptance or a purchase.

Start here

Help shape coordination that asks before it shares.

Share the situation, the result you need, and who is involved. Cornerstone will use this information to assess fit and propose a concrete next step.

One clear request.

One fit review.

One concrete next step.

Include the current process, the bottleneck, and the result you want.
